EvalsEvolved ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our application ("EvalsEvolved" or the "App"), available on iOS, Android, and web. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the App.

By using EvalsEvolved, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. This policy is effective as of March 27, 2026.

• Account Information: Email address, name, and role provided during registration.
• Profile Data: Military branch, pay grade, rate/specialty, and unit information you enter.
• Work Log Entries: Professional activity descriptions, dates, categories, and impact statements you log.
• Career Events: PCS moves, promotions, awards, and qualifications you record.
• Goals & Qualifications: Development goals and qualification records you create.
• Supervisor / Peer Data: Department member records and peer recognition entries created in Supervisor Mode.
• Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns within the App.
• Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and IP address.
• Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns within the App (anonymized).

• To provide, maintain, and improve the EvalsEvolved service.
• To generate AI-powered evaluation comments from your logged data.
• To enable supervisor–member data sharing features (only when you opt in).
• To send service-related communications and important updates.
• To analyze usage trends and enhance user experience.
• To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data in the following limited circumstances:

• Supervisors (Opt-In Only): If you link your account to a supervisor's email, your new log entries are mirrored to their department view. You control this in Settings and can remove the link at any time.
• Service Providers: We use trusted third-party providers to operate the App (hosting, AI processing, email delivery). They are contractually bound to protect your data and may not use it for any other purpose.
• Analytics Providers: We may share aggregated, anonymized data with analytics providers to improve our service.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest. Your work logs and personal data are stored on secure servers. We never share your individual log entries with third parties without your explicit consent. Supervisor sharing only occurs when you actively link your account to a supervisor's email address in Settings. Despite our safeguards, no system is 100% secure; you use the App at your own risk and should not log classified or operationally sensitive information.

EvalsEvolved does not use advertising networks, behavioral tracking cookies, or third-party ad SDKs (such as Google AdSense or AdMob). We do not serve advertisements within the App. No data is shared with advertising partners. We do not track users across other apps or websites. Your military performance data is used solely to operate and improve EvalsEvolved.

We use cookies and similar technologies (web beacons, local storage) for the following purposes:

• Essential cookies: Maintain your login session and app preferences.
• Analytics cookies: Understand how users navigate and use the App.

You can control cookie behavior through your browser settings or device preferences. Disabling cookies may affect App functionality. For more information, visit cookiechoices.org.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time (see Section 9). After deletion, we may retain certain data as required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or legitimate business purposes for up to 90 days before permanent deletion.

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Correct inaccurate or incomplete data via Settings or by contacting us.
• Deletion: Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Data Portability: Export your work logs via the Export feature in the App.
• Opt-out of Marketing: Unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time.
• Restrict Processing: Request that we limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.

EvalsEvolved is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). If you believe a child has provided us personal data without appropriate consent, please contact us immediately and we will delete the data. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent to use the App. EvalsEvolved serves military members and supervisors across the U.S. Coast Guard, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Space Force.

EvalsEvolved is operated in the United States. If you access the App from outside the U.S., your data will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. By using the App, you consent to this transfer. If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email at least 30 days before changes take effect. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of EvalsEvolved after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
